Primary rivals unite to elect conservative to Congress

LITTLE ROCK
– Second District Congressional candidate, U.S. Army Reservist and former U.S. Attorney Tim Griffin today announced the endorsement of Little Rock businessman and former congressional candidate Scott Wallace in his bid to succeed outgoing U.S. Rep. Vic Snyder.

“For conservatives in Arkansas, 2010 is our chance, and I am standing with Tim Griffin to help him win in November,” Wallace said.  “Arkansas is my home and our values need a voice in Congress.  Tim will carry our voice to Washington.

“During my campaign, I became a grandfather.  I ran because I was concerned about the legacy we will leave our children if we do not fight for what we believe in,” Wallace continued.  “I know Tim, as a father of two, is concerned about that legacy as well.  I know he will fight for what we believe in so his children, my grandchild and all our families can grow up in an America that is exceptional and blessed by God.”

“I am honored to have Scott’s endorsement,” Griffin said.  “He is a man of strong faith who cares deeply for Central Arkansas and wants to see our common sense conservative values represented in Washington.

“Scott is a successful businessman who has created many jobs for Arkansans.  He and I agree on the importance of private sector job creation, how Congress should be making things easier on entrepreneurs, not harder, and how a misplaced reliance on government is not the answer to fixing our economy,” Griffin added.  “I am proud to know that we will be working together to elect a true conservative, so we can have a Congress that works for us, not against us.”

Wallace is a lifelong resident of Central Arkansas and owns Bruno’s Little Italy in Little Rock, as well as three other business ventures.  He is also involved with numerous community activities and charity boards in Central Arkansas. He currently serves on the board of the Union Rescue Mission/Dorcas House

Wallace also serves as a volunteer reserve deputy sheriff in Pulaski County, spending hundreds of hours completing training and on patrol.  He is also on the boards of the Arkansas State Police Foundation and the Arkansas Motor Vehicle Commission.  He is a former member of the Arkansas Tobacco Control Board.

Wallace resides in Little Rock with his wife Tanja and their four daughters, and is active in the Summit Church in North Little Rock.
