Commemorating Flag Day
LITTLE ROCK – Second District Congressional candidate, U.S. Army Reservist and former U.S. Attorney Tim Griffin today issued the following statement to mark the observance of Flag Day:
“Whether raised over the White House or the school house, the Stars and Stripes unites our country. The flag has borne witness to our nation’s greatest triumphs and tragedies. The flag has traveled a long road. From Mount Suribachi on Iwo Jima to Tranquility Base on the Moon, from the jerseys of our athletes to our military uniforms, our flag reminds us of our ideals and of the promise for tomorrow that America represents.”
