Nearly $1M raised; $315,662 cash-on-hand for general election

LITTLE ROCK – Second District Congressional candidate, U.S. Army Reservist and former U.S. Attorney Tim Griffin today announced his campaign has raised $378,814.23 for the second quarter of 2010, pushing his campaign-to-date total to $954,342.22.

Griffin’s second quarter total includes $352,022.36 for the period from April 29 to June 30 reflected in his second quarter filing. In its pre-primary filing, Griffin’s campaign raised a total of $26,791.87 from April 1 through April 28.

“I appreciate the support and encouragement of the hundreds of Arkansans who contributed to our campaign and want a check and balance against Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s and President Obama’s agenda of runaway spending, higher national debt and job-killing policies,” Griffin said.

Griffin has $315,662.90 cash-on-hand for the remaining 110 days until the November 2 general election.

Griffin added, “We will continue to build our financial and grassroots support through the summer so we can compete in November against the labor unions  and other allies of Speaker Pelosi who will work to try and keep our Second District seat under her control.”

Griffin’s campaign totaled 867 total contributions in the second quarter with 821 (95%) coming from individuals. Among individual contributions, 82% came from Arkansas donors.
